6x6 | Six Years • Six Themes

This year as The Arts Area celebrates its sixth anniversary, we look back not only on our growth and successes in the development and support of economic sustainability and equitable access in the creative industries, but also on the challenges confronted by nearly every member of our creative community. To this end, The Arts Area invited artists and authors to reflect on six areas that have had a significant cultural impact during our first six years from the summer of 2016 to 2022.

This collaborative publication with Curious Publishing is a compilation of the nearly 50 artists’ and authors’ submissions on these themes and a companion piece to The Arts Area juried exhibition 6x6 | Six Years • Six Artists opening on August 20, 2022 at CASA Pitzer in the Downtown Ontario Arts District.

The funds raised by the sale of this publication will support The Arts Area’s continued diversity, equity, and inclusion advocacy and programming in the Greater Inland Empire.
